Automate e-commerce order processing with n8n and Laravel

D

Every status change on an order triggers a chain of manual tasks: update the CRM, notify the warehouse, create a shipping label, send a customer email. For a store processing 200 orders a day, that chain becomes a full-time job.

We eliminate it.

At MaxiMoruM, we build automation pipelines that connect your e-commerce platform to every downstream system — using n8n as the workflow engine and Laravel as the event backbone.

How the stack works

A Laravel event fires the moment an order is placed or its status changes. That event dispatches a webhook payload to n8n. From the n8n canvas, the workflow branches:

  • Nova Poshta API → creates a shipping label automatically
  • LiqPay or Monobank → reconciles the payment record
  • Telegram Bot → notifies the warehouse manager in real time
  • CRM (Pipedrive, HubSpot, or custom) → updates the deal stage
  • Accounting system → generates an invoice

The full chain completes in under three seconds. No copy-paste. No tab-switching. No delays tied to staff shift schedules.

Why n8n over fully custom code

n8n runs on your own VPS — no vendor lock-in, no per-task pricing. Its visual canvas lets your operations team adjust workflow logic without touching a line of PHP. Adding a new integration — Ukrposhta, Monobank statement import, or a Slack notification — takes hours, not sprint cycles.

Real project results

A Ukrainian electronics retailer on OpenCart + Laravel, processing 200 daily orders. Before: 4 staff handling logistics coordination, average order processing time 12 minutes. After deploying the n8n + Laravel automation layer: 1 coordinator, processing time under 90 seconds.

The stack

  • Laravel (event dispatch, webhook receiver, queue management)
  • n8n (self-hosted workflow orchestration on your VPS)
  • Nova Poshta API, LiqPay, Monobank, Ukrposhta API
  • PostgreSQL for workflow state persistence
